101. Lord Mayor's Coffee Colloquy, UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, Mansion House, 11 January 2024
Colloquy 3 was organised by the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators and the Worshipful Company of Plumbers. It reflected on how to achieve:
- Universal access to adequate and equitable sanitation for all
- Improving water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping, and minimising release of hazardous chemicals and materials
- Supporting the participation of local communities in developing countries, helping them improve water quality and sanitation.
Around 80 representatives of the City and the Livery attended including the Lady Mayoress. As the Mayor was attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, the opening remarks were provided by Alderman Alastair King, DL. He highlighted the role of the Livery in the life of the City.
Ten speakers then gave presentations lasting four minute (or thereabouts).

The Company
is very grateful to Walbrook Warden, Tom Flood, who undertook the organisation
with the Lord Mayor’s Office in the Mansion House and Martin Shouler from the
Plumbers’ Company. It was a good example
of cross-Livery co-operation.
